Bridget Geraghty, LCSW

As a licensed clinical social worker for15 years, she has a proven record of success helping clients savor life.

Helping you build self-compassion and healthy attachments is central to her work. Bridget is also trained in research-based therapies like EMDR, cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused so you can move beyond the “stuck” places.

Bridget meets clients "where they live", in all of their identities - both those they claim and those that have been projected upon them.  She believes that sex, gender, age, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, religious and spiritual orientations, socio-economic class and other group affiliations must all be considered in helping clients understand themselves and their experiences.  She uses a welcoming and non-judgmental style in connecting with clients and enjoys hearing their stories as they tell them.

Some specialties include:

  • Survivors of oppression

living as a person of color under white supremacy culture

living as queer under heteronormative culture

living as an other-abled person under an ableist culture

living as a woman under a patriarchal culture

  • Adults with depression/anxiety/grief.

  • Fertility, pregnancy and postpartum mood disorders.

  • Young-adult women coming-of-age.

  • Trauma history.

I firmly believe that therapy is for everybody.

Whatever your reasons or goals are for therapy, I am committed to holding space and exploring this journey with you. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, collaboration, humor and empathy for each person’s unique experiences. I provide a safe, inclusive space for folks of all identities to heal, explore, discover, and thrive, using a trauma informed lens.

My philosophy is that people are the experts of their own lives, and that I am here to walk alongside you, offering guidance, tools and encouragement along the way. I use several modalities of psychotherapy, including person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and will typically blend these approaches to meet your personal needs.

I have 7 years of experience as a social worker in health care and specialize in working with people who are managing chronic illnesses, processing grief, experiencing caregiver fatigue, and navigating difficult diagnosis. I also have a special interest in working with folks who have endured trauma, are navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression and existential concerns.

I hold deep appreciation for the power of therapy and welcome the opportunity to work together towards your therapy goals!

I am a licensed clinical social worker authorized to practice in the state of Oregon and I am a preferred provider for Kaiser Permanente of Oregon. I am able to bill other insurance companies for out-of-network benefits.

AMANDA BRADY, LCSW

In her work as a medical social worker, Amanda has specialized in helping people experiencing depression and anxiety related to chronic illness. She is well versed in the deep connection between mind and body. This is the lens she brings to work with all of her clients.

Amanda says, “By bringing a deeper awareness to what is happening in our mind and body we are better able to make intentional choices and in effect live more whole and congruent lives.”

In addition to her work in alleviating depression and anxiety, Amanda brings a passion for working with those experiencing the unwanted effects of a substance or other addiction. She appreciates the courage it takes to face anything in our lives, past or present, that is causing us pain. She believes deeply in all people’s ability to thrive.

Amanda is credentialed with Kaiser Permanence of Oregon. She is able to provide services out-of-network with most health insurance companies and Resolve offers the option to bill insurance companies for her services on the client’s behalf.

When Amanda is not providing therapy or working at OHSU she is exploring the Pacific Northwest with her dog Jasper, practicing Yoga and Meditation, and learning to work on her little home in Portland, OR.
